Citroënvie member Gérard Larochelle, came upon this impressive model of a 2CV made entirely of linden wood.

Linden is deciduous tree with heart-shaped leaves and fragrant yellowish blossoms, native to north temperate regions. The pale soft timber is used for carving and furniture.

The craftsman is 83 years old and lives in the the Mauricie region of Quebec. He was an automotive painter.

Mauricie is a popular tourist area in Quebec with La Mauricie National Park. Its two main cities are Trois-Rivières and Shawinigan.

Obviously a Citroën enthusiast (judging by the art on the wall), he certainly managed to get the overall shape right, although the front end does have a liberal sized grill.
