Citroën Deutschland to Salute Robert Opron at Techno-Classica 2014

Citroën Deutschland GmbH is paying special tribute to Robert Opron at Techno-Classica in Essen, Germany from March 26 – 30, 2014.  Opron, the master of the shapes at Citroën from the mid ’60s to mid ’70s, was responsible for the design of SM, CX , GS and the transformation of the DS, integrating its glass enclosed dual headlights.

Robert and his wife Geneviève Opron will be at the Club booth.  For the first time since the early 70s it will be possible to see the previous Head of Design Department of “Bureaux d’Etudes ” next to “his” CX prototype “Projet L”.

The theme in the Citroën Deutschland booth this year will be Hydropneumatic technology, which for many vehicle generations of Citroën has been a unique selling point.

They expect high-ranking visits from the PSA Citroën Germany and France as invitations have been sent out to senior management.

And there will be another highlight – the Club has managed to invite for the first time the famous car-comic artist Thierry Dubois (pictured below in a Traction) to autograph his new automotive comics.

All in all it sounds like a pretty good place to be if you plan to be in Germany at the end of March.
