Citroënvie member and long time Citroën collector Manny Motashaw got due recognition recently from Petrolheads. They produced a 22-1/2 minute video on him and the numerous classic cars he has collected over the years.
His DS23 Safari is absolutely stunning. And the selection of other rare vehicles like a pristine 1986 Rolls Royce Camargue originally owned by Mick Jagger and a 1960 Facel Vega HK500, custom built for Jean Daninos, Facel’s founder and president, are equally fascinating.
It’s a wonderful profile, with very thoughtful and eloquent commentary from Manny. We particularly like his recollection of growing up in India and while at a boarding school there and not old enough to have a driver’s license, managed to take the headmasters car out for drive about the town on Friday nights!
Actually, Manny has a lot more cars he never got round to mentioning. They never even got to the American cars though they did show some photos of them.
View it if for no other reason than to appreciate his respect for Citroens!
